Yantai (China) will host one of the biggest conferences on the wine business with the participation of prestigious international speakers
First-class professionals from across the globe will go to China to attend the WBWE Asia, which will be held on the 30th and 31st of May in Pavilions E and F at the Yantai International Exhibition Center.
Professionals from the US, the UK, India, Sweden, Hong Kong, Spain, France, Chile and, of course, China, among other countries, will participate in the first-ever fair devoted to bulk wine in China: WBWE Asia.
As well as producers, importers and brokers coming on the 30th and 31st of May to carry out business transactions, this trade fair will also become a place for debate, technical conferences and first-class tasting sessions with the participation of prominent professionals such as Li Demei, Marine Ma, Cruz Liljegren, Natalie Wang, Dan Traucki and many others.

LI DEMEI – enologist – CHINA
Li Demei is the China’s leading enologist, responsible for helping improve the quality of Chinese wines in the global stage with his various consulting works, particularly in China’s northwestern Ningxia and Xinjiang provinces.
Voted as one of the 10 most influential wine consultants in the world by The drinks business in 2013, Li is the equivalent of Michel Rolland in China.
Natalie has worked in the journalism industry for over six years, with experience gained in Hunan, Hong Kong and Bangkok. She directed her journalism focus to the wine industry when she joined JamesSuckling.com in 2014. The eponymous founder, James Suckling, is a world-acclaimed wine critic. As the Managing Editor of Drinks Business Hong Kong, Natalie is based in Hong Kong and responsible for covering the wine trade in Greater China particularly on China. Her coverage on the market has led her to win HKIWSC’s Wine Communicator of the Year in 2017.
Cruz is the young CEO of independent wine brokerage firm Premium Wine Broker (PWB). Cruz is a well-known personality in the bulk wine sector who speaks and consults around the globe. He has academic achievements such as an MSc in wine business from the Burgundy School of Business, Dijon. In 2016, he became the first member of The American Association of Wine Economists (AAWE) under the age of 30.
WEI Yue is a guest speaker on cork stopper technicality of the Portuguese Cork Association in China. During the past decade, WEI is responsible for liaising with domestic wine producers in China, providing them with sales support, customer service as well as arranging cork stopper training tours to the world’s largest cork manufacturer in Portugal. She has a thorough understanding on the technical aspect of cork stopper from closure type selection, application, bottling, storage to transportation consideration.

Kevin Wilson has worked in the Wines and Spirits Industry for 40 years, in many senior positions in the UK and Europe. In 2004 he took part in the Management Buyout of Kingsland, and has continuously invested in the business; Kingsland Drinks is now one of the largest wine companies in Europe.
